The protesters are becoming more daring at EHC. Last night at the end of normal clinic hours (approx. 8:00 pm), one of the protesters confronted a staff member in the dark, while she was getting into her car. In any situation, being shouted at by someone while you are in a dark parking lot trying to get into your car is unnerving and frightening. But then to be called names, have accusations thrown at you, and be told that the purpose of this verbal attack was to intimidate you – it’s terrifying. And now the staff member who was confronted knows that this protester knows what she looks like, where she works, the make and model of her car ….

Incidents like this also dramatically affect our clients. Because of protesters, money that would be used on subsidizing costs for clients who are un/under insured, must be spent on extra staff hours to keep clients and staff safe. Extra time is needed to coordinate escort volunteers, to make certain that there is never a solitary person in the building, and much more.

EHC needs your support! We are now on our 28th day of being picketed – with 12 more to go. We are less than halfway to our fundraising goal during this time of bullying and intimidation. Please send your pledges now to EHC at 38 S Main St, Concord, NH 03301 or go online to Thank You!
