Equality Health Center offers Behavioral Health Services with a focus on providing a safe, supportive, and confidential environment to patients. Our Behavioral Health Service believes in affirming different identities for transgender, cisgender, and gender nonconforming people. Equality Health Center accepts most insurances and has a sliding scale fee available for eligible patients.

Meet our Behavioral Health Services provider, Paul Cody, Ph.D with the following qualifications:

    • NH licensed psychologist
    • gender specialist and specialty in issues of sexual identity
    • 34 years of experience in LGBTQ mental health provision, including treatment of depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
    • seasoned trainer of professionals, graduate students in social work, and psychology interns/fellows in the provision of mental health services for LGBTQ people
    • 15 years of providing letters of eligibility and readiness for transgender hormone therapy and gender confirmation surgeries.

Becoming an ally to transgender and gender nonconforming people

On April 18th at the UNH 25th Annual LGBTQ+Ally Pancake Breakfast, Dr. Paul Cody (center) and eight of his former UNH Counseling Center colleagues were given awards by the UNH President’s Commission on the Status of LGBTQ+ People “in appreciation and deep gratitude” for service provided over years to the UNH LGBTQ+ community.
